Xtream Codes Explained: Server, Username, and Password

2026-04-154 min de lecture

Xtream Codes is an API format used by a lot of media server software. Instead of one playlist URL, it uses three separate credentials: a server address, a username, and a password.

The three fields

  • Server: usually a URL with a port number, like http://example.com:8080.
  • Username: the account name your provider assigned you.
  • Password: the matching password for that account.

Entering it in LoomiTV

Select "Xtream Codes" as your connection type, then fill in all three fields exactly as given — a typo in the server port is the single most common reason a connection fails. LoomiTV connects directly from your device to that server; it never sees or stores anything beyond what you enter.

Naming your connection

If you manage more than one source, LoomiTV lets you label each connection (for example, "Main" or "Backup") so you can switch between them without re-entering credentials each time.
